So my friend got a fiat 500 1.3 MTJ from 2009 almost for free but it can't start, the fuel pump is silent, we got ESP and ASR fault on the display and the OBD port has been cut out - what a nice suprise.
He got the car running with starter spray, but only as long as he sprays, so probably a fuel pump issue.
I know it's generally a bad idea to use starter spray on a diesel, but i also think it's a bad idea to get a car without an OBD port lol.

When looking at the e-learning wiring diagram for the OBD port, theres only described 7 wires, however there's an extra brown-white in this car. When looking at OBD port pictures online i can see fiat generally use 8 pins on the 500, so it seems that the e-learn is missing a wire. It looks like the mystery brown-white wire should be in spot 12. Hope some of you guys have some inputs before i fry the body computer.

My experience is Fiat wiring is a law unto its self. Being sneaky I might suggest you go to a parts / breakers and ask for an OBD with wiring tails. for this car. If you get a respone, ask for a photo. May be someone on here could take a photo of the OBD wiring but I imagine that would be tricky. Try a calling all MTj owners post. I hope someone would spend a few minutes looking for you. I presume at some point someone has pinched the car and tried a hot wiring job. It might be worth asking a dealer about the plug and harness too. Occasionally I have found the prices favourable and not as expected. I do however wish you the best of luck with this.
