Hi all,

Ive had my 2015 Panda for a few months now and have some questions:

On tick over there feels like a misfire every few seconds, however the revs sit where they should be, on really hot days this appears much better and less noticeable.

My thermostat failed resulted in overheating, it went into the red for a few seconds but everything appears fine although I am loosing a capful (half from full to empty) of coolant every couple of months. im thinking the head gasket is fine (maybe) as there is no other symptoms but maybe im leaking coolant from somewhere else, so any areas to check will be helpful.

When the A/C is turned on I get the initial 'whoosh' sound and hear the compressor engage and click, from here it click on and off every now and again, is this normal?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Is this The 1242cc petrol..?

Any coolant loss wants investigating..

Check around the bottom of the dashboard 😉. Leaky heater can be a pain

I blew head gaskets when my heater matrix failed
It is the 1242cc, Where about do I look under the dash and if it is the matrix is that hard to do?

This covers the basics, 🙂

Other info in 500 section, as the job is basically identical 😉

Ive just inspected further and all hoses look ok although the radiator looks in a sad condition with what appears to be lots of fins missing, could this be the area for the coolant escape? Thanks.

Are you sure you are looking at the radiator and not the AC condenser? These have a habit of corroding and falling apart. A true radiator leak should be pretty obvious when the engine is running and up to temperature.

I assumed it was the radiator unless the condenser is in front... ill check.
