Technical newbie problem

Hi. I am a new driver and proud owner of a 2004 fiat punto 1.2 8v. The problem I have is that the fan speed control is broken (really broken, not stuck). I managed to take the central console out, but I don't know how to actually change that control. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thank you !

if youve taken console off then switch is in front of you
two very tiny philips screws then a simple struggle of magnificent proportions to wrestle the electrical connector off and then you find your but in the back seat and a sweated furrow

Getting that electrical connector off is the easy part
its getting bastard back on.....


Also - dont loose those tiny screws!

While your in there - make sure all 4 of the dash lights in there work, if not replace them

welding rod or old thin screwdriver with about 8mm length bent to 90% ,slide it behind switch and pull connector on

i tried allen keys - i got mine on, just dont like how stupid it is!!

Thank you. I will buy the new control and try it as soon as I can...hope the weather won't get any colder..don't want steamy windows

Best piece of advice... Go to a scrappy, find a punto and take the control switch for the heating out of there... Thats how I done mine, good practice! But it's true, it is really easy to take out, an absolute pain to put it back! Just be patient!
