Just installed this today sounds really good, but needs propping up a bit at the moment as the filter rattles on a screw when reversing. Wondered if anyone had any tips maybe I should mount it facing the front of the car but still would need to prop it up but can't think how any ideas?

careful with the breather pipe, theres 2 small kinks in it...

You can make a simple bracket with aluminium, attaches to battery bracket nut, clamps around the induction pipe and then is attached to bulkhead (in your picture theres a small lump on the sound proofing, under that theres a bolt)

Heres how Ive mine attached...£5ish for parts...

Oh right where can you get the bits?
Yeah it came like that through the post and couldn't do anything to get them out.

Hot water and a clothes peg to hold the correct shape while it cools. You may also be able to rearrange the original and new pipes so they run more neatly but still have the same connections.

If the alloy pipe ends are the same size it might be more handy the other way around.

Metal strips from B&Q (expensive) or scrap metal from an engineering shop. They might even give you what you need.

cheers mate not a bad idea gotit is a bit messy in there at the moment!

Don't know what else to do to my engine got a fair few plans for exterior and interior already done a fair bit but dunno what else to do in the way of tuning the engine.

See what turns up on Google & come back
here's a start:
www.PuntoPower.com
www.car-performance-parts.com/fiat-punto.html

However the last one says (1)wiper linkages fail and the (2)power steering is weak.

(1) is true but a reliable fix costs £25 so not the whole story
(2) is only true when you ignore that weak batteries are the main reason for power steering problems. New battery & steering works normally.

So be careful to get the whole story. Whatever you do any useful power gains will not be cheap and the insurance will love you to death with high premiums and/or pulling the cover when you need it.

So many induction kit threads at the moment, & nothing wrong with that, only if every one is aware that apart from the noise, no real gains. On a wee 1.2 as I've said before you may feel a tad more responsiveness, but only if it's done right, even then the noise will affect that placebo effect;)

Using any metal, like aluminum for ducting will have heat soak for starters.
