Tipo (Classic) My Sedicivalvole

1993 Fiat Tipo 2.0 16V

Introduction

I'm Simon based in South Yorkshire and this is my (now long-term) project Sedicivalvole. Coming up on 10 years of intermittent work done but more in the last 6 months that the rest of the time.
Rust is sadly present in a few places and having learned to weld I'm attempting to continue to learn by making it solid if not pretty....

Car is an August 1993 registered (built Oct 92) Sedici with the optional Recaro seats and ABS.

I’m also a Simon and have a sedicivalvole 😂

I wonder why that was registered so late, as I have been told all 500 allocated sold out pretty quickly. Mine is a late 1991 build but didn’t get registered until Jan 1993.

Hope you have better luck finding parts than I do.

Not sure on the late registration, I think the facelift was already out by then so old stock. It's a bit of an odd one as it has the optional seats and ABS plus it had Air Con and a hardwired Grundig carphone system at one point but most has been removed sadly.
There is a black one that is L42 SWS and a few other Fiat and Lancia's registered on L** SWS (one Thema I've seen) which appears to be a Bristol area code - have vague recollection of them sitting on the docks there so could be Fiat UK registered but might be coincidence?

Air con? How exotic.

Mine had recaro’s in it when it was built, but has lost them in the past unfortunately and just has standard 16v seats in it now 🤦‍♂️

I’m probably too fat for the recaro’s anyway haha.
Hope you get it back on the road soon. I put a few miles on mine over the weekend having just got a fresh mot on it and adore it
