Ok, who am I kidding, the title is a thinly veiled excuse to show off our new family member in the wrong section.
I will do a members motors thread in the 'other Fiat models' section when I have more to say but wanted to share my excitement here first.
Well we took Oslo to the Auctions today, A frame in the boot, as I'd seen a while back that this car was coming up for sale. I'd made a couple of spaces in the hope of winning it, which were quickly pinched by customers ( you know who you are :nono: ), but that wasn't going to put me off, I had a really good feeling about it so as long as it went for less than my self imposed limit it was going to be ours
Well fortunately the bidding stopped well before what I was prepared to bid, this either meant I'd bought a bargain, or everyone else knew something I didn't, judging by all the positive comments so far I'm fairly sure the former is true.
Ok, enough stalling, here she is........
The eagle eyed amongst you will spot Si (Pandamonius Maximus) in the background looking like a the Stig's evil brother, this is because the classic car auction was being held at Castle Combe race circuit where Si was coincidentally sprinting his Marbella. Sadly he wasn't to have as good a day as us, I'm sure he'll fill in the details on his 'members motors-non Fiat' thread.
So yes, it's a beautiful little 850 sport coupe dating from 1972 with a mere 36K on the clock. It hasn't been ran for at least 18 months so will need looking at, but as it has only covered 5 miles since it's last mot pass two years ago I'm not expecting too much to be wrong.
Needless to say I'm hit by a steam train (Chuffed to bits
), even 'No more cars!' Panda Mo has fallen for her charms.
Will post a link to it's own thread once I've started one.
