Well little "Lu-Lu" passed her M.O.T today with flying colours, :slayer::slayer::slayer:

2 advisories being "headlight converters need to be fitted as the beam is not correct"
And "one brake pipe slightly starting to corrode"...
The mot man was amazed as to the condition of her on top and underneath saying its the cleanest one he's ever seen and the fact a welder has never been used on her.....
So all in all a good day and a well cheap panda with 12mths ticket for £180...(y)(y)(y) Now thats economical motoring....

Well done but thats amazing. I the lights are even a little out at our test stations we're sent packing. And even if theres a sniff of the plastic coating on brake pipes have, it would be an immediate falure here.

Well done, another Panda on the road for another year(y)

Damn there a bit harsh aint they???
We know our Mot'er pretty well and he knows that the jobs will get done so he tend's to let them go .;);), which is good...(y)

To save rust issues I waxoil the pipes every year when i do the rest of the Panda cause I hate doing brake pipes :( so would be knackered in NI

The 55/60w bulbs are easilly replaced with the P45t fitting any other type of fitting will cause the beam pattern issues.

Mine passed last week as well! With only one advisory an a tyre getting low.... Not bad for nearly 16,000 miles in a year, and with no breakdowns at all...... Also hit 100,000 yesterday!

Good to hear! What spec is it?

As for bulbs, Its 55/60Watt P45T's that everyone should have in my book, Light everything up so much better! I've never looked back since fitting them about 12 months ago!

It's a 1987 4x4, white.... dragged home after spending 5 years in a field grown into the shrubbery.... apart from rotten doors, boot and wings the rest was all fairly rot free so thought it worth saving, rather than to break as was the original plan.....

Already got the bulbs, though if you haven't done so already its best to wire them on relays, they cooked my dip/main beam switch after being constantly on in Norway! You'll be able to tell as the bases of the stalks get warm/hot (the bit round the steering column). They'll be brighter still as well, almost something like a modern car!!

I had that problem with the girlle lights I've got and had to fit a relay, but luckily haven't suffered with the upgraded p45t bulbs in any of our Panda's.
