Tuning Max tire size (no spacers)

Someone who has the tire size 215/40/r16 fitted (without spacers) on their hgt?

I myself now have 7.5J rims with 195/45/r16 tires on them. However, the tires are now very stretched and I want wider tires on them. However I have very little space at the rear shock absorber bolt, hence the question
