Hi,

I have been offered a great price on a set of Marangoni Zeta linea tyres (205/40/17's) - I am in Australia so cannot get the great prices you guys seem to get

I know they are well rated by the local Polo Gti fanboys (but hey, these guys own a VW !!!)

What do the vastly more discerning Fiat crowd think of these based on experience - especially in terms of noise and ride (I am ok about performance)

Cheers

EDIT: After reading thro' pages and pages of peoples "opinions" I would like some feedback from those who actually driven on these ---Ta !!

I have Marangoni's on my X1/9, they are a lot better than I thought they would be. Like you, I was offered a decent price, so I went for them, and thought they would be ditch finders. In comparison to the premium tyres that came off it they aren't quite as good, but they are better than the money suggests. HTH

I have (had) driven several cars with Italian made, Marangoni Vanto and Marangoni Verso tires.
They are unbeatable for price, and are only slightly less in performance compared to my favorite brand: Pirelli.
I will definitely recommend ( any version) Marangoni, if Pirelli is to expensive for your taste, OR....Pirelli doesn't stock the desired size ( happened to me a few times...!).

I have one that the tread is peeling off with 6mm of tread remaining. I am dumping the other three. However they grip reasonably but not as well as better makes. Not a bad compromise, but I wont be buying more as the fault appeared without warning over a very short space of time as I inspect my boots regulalry.
