Hello everyone!

I have a Fiat Seicento 1.1 MPI with the Magneti Marelli IAW 4AF/4EF ECU. I’m looking to modify the ECU to achieve the "pops & bangs" effect. Has anyone here tried tuning this ECU on their Seicento or any other Fiat with the same unit?

I would love to hear about your experiences with tuning the ECU for this purpose, whether it involves adjusting fuel and ignition maps or other techniques to get the desired effect.

Also, I’m searching for someone who can modify my ECU remotely (via shipping) or who can sell a modified version. Ideally, I’m looking for someone in Poland.

I have an MPPS V18 tool, but I’m not sure if it can handle this kind of modification. From what I know, it might require soldering or possibly using something like K-TAG instead. Has anyone had experience with this ECU and knows the best way to proceed?

Looking forward to your thoughts and recommendations! 😊

My recommendation is to not do it. If it's working, let it be!
I get your point, but I have a different approach – the car is going to be scrapped anyway, so why not have some fun and try something cool before it's gone? I've always been curious about mods like this, so why not give it a shot? 😊

Well, if that's the case and you want Pops & Bangs, you can at least go more directly and have it in a simpler and cooler way than tuning the ECU. Go to the silencer, punch some holes into it, jiggle with it and you'll have your fun.

Ha, yeah, the straight pipe sounds good, but it won’t really give any bangs, just loud noise. That's why I think I'll go for the magic button connected to the coils – way more effective and controlled! 😉 As for ECU tuning for something like this, yeah, that might actually be a pretty stupid idea.
