Hi all. We've had our green 97 Barchetta for a week and it's clear that the exhaust is hanging too low under the car, particularly in between the silencer (I think that's what the middle box is) and the convoluted back box. I notice that the brackets which hold the rubber hangers seem to be a little bent out of shape and the rubbers themselves at that point are quite stretched.

I read on another forum that the B's exhaust system is (in)famously heavy and those rubber hangers quite often get too long which drops the exhaust.... thing is, I can now barely fit my fist under it and even getting out of our drive is a challenge without scraping the silencer on the ground. Speed bumps terrify us and we're not enjoying the ownership experience thus far.

Any ideas on raising the height of the exhaust please? Or should we maybe accept that it's not the original, won't fit properly and just replace it? We are going to try new rubber hangers first but I don't want to bend brackets and risk breaking them...

Thanks in advance :)
