Hi guys. I'm ordering the Abarth next week and i'm thinking of getting the red leather seats. Are these of good quality or i'm better off with the standard cloth ones? I've heard about some problems with leather wear on the Abarth. Is this true?
Had leather in my Sport 500. When choosing an A500, I went for the cloth. The seats in the back aren't leather so it seems a bit odd but the leather had a real nice feel to it.
On the whole though, I'm glad I went for cloth.
Not a big fan of leather, but to get the spec I wanted (Xenon's) I went for something the dealer had coming (red leather) and I am quite impressed. The standard 500 leather was a bit overpriced and a not great quality but the A500 leather seems much nicer.
You still get split rear seats, but as above note only the front seats and door cards are leather, the rear are black cloth.
If you go for red leather, you get black rear seats, if you go for black leather then it's all black. 50/50 split seats in the rear are also standard with leather. The quality of the leather is superb, quite thin, but beautifully soft like a true Italian! My mate compared his new BMW to "a Rhino's arse" after sitting in the A500. No probs with wear after 23,000 miles, just cracks and creasing as you're supposed to get with leather.
There are other leather options too, tan leather and light grey leather on the A500C, i think these are available on the hard top now, if not, they soon will be

err yeah, sorry they are black leather, you are 100% right (just realised why else would I have spend ages with an old blanket getting the kiddy seat in the back if I was not looking after the leather! DOH!)
