Can anyone tell me what the 4 switch positions do, please??
Not got a clue- hate all this unecessary crap.
Got Multiecuscan on laptop, but when I was having steering troubles, it said I needed elm 327. Not bothered with it since.

It is supposed to do it all, so is KKL lead necessary ?

blue switched kkl works fine most times for me
ive no idea what last setting does
the elm lead in my opinion is just an updated elm lead compatable with later fiats etc so on its own it will only read engine data

as it says on the label, differnt settings to interogate each item eg, engine ecu-steering/airbag /abs. etc

so if you wanted to read for abs fault eg move switch over too abs,

Should really go to specs savers as it tells you on the label

1/9 Abs

12/13 is probably a Vag connection not used on fiats

You do need an elm327 for steering its best to get both cables anyway they are both under a tenner

the numbers related to which pin on the plug is connected to the data line

To go with a new hearing aid, lol.

I hesitated to get a cheap 327, as loads of dodgy chinese wrongly wired up ones on ebay.
Just noticed the label and contents- but still means absolutely nothing to me.

I can, or could do all mechanical work on cars, vans ,trucks , buses, plant etc, but electrics are a total no no for me. You can see water, oil, petrol, coming, but not the sparky stuff. Citroen hydra-pneumatics was ok for me, lots find them a nightmare. Just no bloody good at electrics.
