My 2008 Doblo has started jumping out of 4th gear, the last post I saw was dated 2011, are there any cable adjustments or simple fixes for this?
1.9Jtd runs brilliantly since recent remap to fix EGR fault. 90,000 miles, all other gears work perfectly
will not stay in 4th under load, if cruising gently in 4th pops out within a few seconds. Any comments or suggestions appreciated. thank you.

Hi Guys

Sound similar to a multipla issue where a build up of sediment in the bottom of the gearbox was having an effect on 4th being fully engaged, i would go for some gearbox oil flush then new oil, cheap options first.

well a new fourth (and third) gear fixed that
hit my Xmas budget big time

syncromesh on 4th gear was knackered
third gear was on its way out too
Strathclyde gearboxes turned it round in double quick time
say they have had lots of practice on Post Office Doblos
shame that the FIAT gearbox parts are not built to last
90,000 miles on a gearbox in this day and age is pathetic
I've had automatic boxes last a lot longer
My Scimitar used to ruin 3rd gear every 15,000 miles or so
but I always ran it in 3rd overdrive as I had a high ratio back axle for the Autobahns where it would cruise at 110 - the only time I ever used top gear, carried a spare gearbox in the back, to be sure.
