Hi all,
I've a 2005 Ducato based motorhome
As it's parked in a narrow driveway, visitors are constantly walking into the side indicators and popping of the extension. Eventually these will be too broken to clip back on.
Has anyone any ideas for alternative extensions etc, preferably flexible or foldable to protect from future snaps?

Thanks

I am not sure what you are referring to. Do you mean the extended red and white side marker lights fitted to some commercial vehicles, or do you have some type of extended turn indicators? If you clarify this point you may extract some responses, but my first question would be "Do you really need them?"

I'm refering to the indicators. Positioned on the cab sides just ahead of the cab doors. See photo.
They are required legal fit I think but the extensions (probably required to protrude visibly beyond the width of habitat body) are rigid plastic and prone to breaking.
I'm curious to find a more resilient or flexible extension method.

I had not previously noticed indicator repeaters, probably because I have been looking at the vehicle as an entity.

The side repeaters on my PVC only extend by about 10mm. I doubt that you are going to find a more resiliant mounting, as the mouldings clip into position.

Two possible coures come to mind.

1. Check vehicle regulations regarding viewing angles. Perhaps the standard repeater would suffice.

2. Revert to standard repeater, and add a low profile LED repeater further towards the the rear of the vehicle. This would necessitate additional wiring, but there will probably be a junction box where the converter has connected to the original Fiat wiring.

Thanks.
I'll start by checking vehicle regs.
As a fall back I may replace the extensions with a flush mount and then fit repeaters to the wing mirrors.

Fitting x250 wing mirrors with indicator extensions to an x244 cab, could present mounting, and wiring problems.

It's just to prevent potential breakage in future.
Might not be worth the effort.
I'll give it some thought before embarking on a project.
