to be honest I was really impressed how a near standard panda did out on the track. Like I know I've a couple of extra cc over the standard car but she was running no servo on the standard brakes, standard carb and the most gawd awful tires from Poland that I've tried to destroy on 4 different Continent's and they still won't loose their tread (even after that track day!)

We did about 5 or 6 laps at a time and there was some brake fade but she was belting on and I'm not a very good driver but he's never felt that there was going to be any difficulties while there where loads of other cars that got into diffs (the Caterham Seven that blew up, the metro GTa that couldn't stay on the track and the man in the Supra that actually lost bowel control with what he did on the follow thou, eek!)

Best thing was that no one gave me any grief for taking something sooo unsuitable out on the track which was very nice and it always brought a smile to the faces of the organizers and marshals

I've been looking round the other forums and seen this post by the metro guy

Brilliant day, we all enjoyed ourselves in the Metro, even if it did catch fire! it's fine though, full of extinguisher powder.
