Hi folks,

I wonder if anyone can kindly identify this Radiator hose connection part? From my 1994 Fiat Ducato 2.5L TD sofim (8140.27)

The radiator hose connects to this part, however from the attached photos you can see it's not a tight fit because the plastic holding one of the nuts is broken. The engine runs fine but we are travelling to France later this year and I think its worth fixing to keep the cooling system working nicely.

What would you call this plastic part? Once I know the name of it I can hopefully find a replacement :)

Graham

Item 1 in this diagram perhaps?

Would need the VIN (Chassis number) to confirm.

Hi Graham, Are you sure it is a water pipe and not an air cooling pipe for a turbo. My old 1.9td has an air cooler at the side of the radiator and that looks suspiciously like an air pipe. If so, good old silicon sealant or gaffa tape may suffice and save you more holiday money. All the Best, Ian.

Hey Davren, thanks so much - that looks exactly like the part!

I have attached the VIN plate

FIAT 2.5L Turbo Diesel - sofim engine 8140.27 (Version 290MSJ)

Hey Cid, thanks for jumping in here - yes, you are right, it must be the air cooling pipe! I like the idea of saving money, perhaps some good sealant or tape would suffice, but I am assuming there may be quite a bit of air pressure that might blow any tape off (I have no idea lol)
