Technical idea radio comes on when the car is locked

My radio is coming on of its own accord and flatting the battery

its a software issue with the blaupunkt stereo, blaupunkt will fix it for you for £180+transport costs or you can do what everyone else does & buy a decent aftermarket cd player + adaptor plate

So Blaupunkt know it's an inherent fault but will charge you £180+ to fix it. Bargain!

Blaupunkt extended the warranty to 2 years (for this fault only). The fault is within the microswitch system that detects a disc being inserted, it intermittently can signal to the unit a disc is being inserted which them fires the unit up completely. A replacement head unit is fitted into the radio.

I have cracked it, if I leave a cd in all the timeit solves the problem.
