To be fair Maxi, things are much easier simplified, and my method of working out how much fuel would cost a year was far simpler than your how many miles from a tank method.

There's a £1.00 calculator and there's Carol Vorderman, one gives you an instant answer, the other shows you the working out, but at the end of the day, they both give you the same answer! :p

That wasn't my flipping method!!!! I've been saying NOT to work out costs from miles per "tank"!!!!!!!!

Am I typing in a different language or something?

You do an awful lot of head banging Maxi, not good for you! :p

Maybe i misread what you typed then. Looking at the other Abarth on fuelly, although his MPG is slightly higher than mine, his average cost per mile is the same (16p per mile) so this an easy way of measuring fuel costs per year.

p.s. My last tank i did 291 miles, best so far! But ignore that...

And that i do! I don't really care what it costs me, but being a slight statoholic i do like to keep a record of everything just out of interest really. Besides, by keeping track of what you spend, you can concentrate on what you £ave, sorry save! Ka'ching! ££££££ ;)

That's true. I hope my post didn't sound critical. I always appreciate your
posts and enjoy the Abarth pics too. (y)

I'm currently on about the same, BUT the car says it's got another 180 miles in the tank ;)

I agree that pence/mile is a good measure of economy because you actually measure how much fuel (or the money you buy it with!) you use for a given distance :) Now we're ACTUALLY talking something which is a proper measurement of how much it'll cost you to run a car. In fact pence per mile is the best way of working out how much a car costs to run in terms of fuel.

:shakehead: Forget fuelly, forget average and instant fuel consumption read outs, forget the conversion from litres to gallons calculations done on the back of a fag packet and just fit a bigger tank, lol.

That way you will feel content that you can cover a thousand miles without having to refuel and as long as you disregard the cost of filling it up, you will live happily ever after.......... even if it is in cloud cuckoo land.

** not a reply to anyone in particular, just my thoughts in general **

Mental note to self: Don't read a thread just because the title alludes to the fact that it might be interesting.

Wow you shared absolutely nothing there. This thread has got way out of hand now from a simple question.

Its the only colour combo i want. Although I saw a Black one this morning, and that looked sweet too. But I think its the white on red combo that i want.

I love my BNW lounge but its a bugger to keep clean:cry:

Let me know how it goes, with that mileage it should be almost loosened up enough to feel quick! Those are 17" wheels btw, not 16 like it says in the ad. Remember to put sport on or it will feel slow! Not the cheapest out there but looks like a good example. Wonder what mine's worth now?... :p

Yeah it does look clean and well kept. I reckon its a good price for the mileage. I'll see how it goes and I can always continue to look whilst I decide.
