Ahoy there. Plonked some new Cinq wheels on today and went for a drive and there's a humming noise coming when I steer left. Not all the time, most often at around 30mph with about a fifth of a turn of lock but it sometimes pops up at other times, and indeed goes away as well. Sounds like it's coming from the front left wheel.

My instinct says wheel bearing - it could well be under more stress as the wheels sit a fair few mm further out. What say you?

What makes them stick out further than your other cinq wheels? It seems to much of a coincidence that all of a sudden a wheel bearing is starting to hum as they normally start very low and get louder and louder till they let go altogether.

I meant they sit out further than the standard steels, which were being used most days until this morning when I swapped them over. Think the offset is something like -38 on standard steels whereas Cinq Alloys are -30.5. I agree though, I'd expect the bearing to have given some warning on standard wheels anyway, which is why I'm considering other factors.
