Hey guys

I have only 1 blue key but I want to know how much a spare would cost?

I imagine it won't be cheap as it's coded

A key with the blade cut and no chip is cheap. There is someone (on ebay I think) who from a picture of your existing key will send you one cut, but no remote gubbins or chip. There auto electricians who can supply and program a chip to your car, but this will be £70+.
I think Timpsons can 'clone' an existing key, but no experience of that.

You are vague with your language, if you are looking for a (working) ignition key (complete with transponder) then a number of companies will do this for a fee. Cutting the physical profile of the key is easy so long as the correct prfile blank key is used. Timpson's have house rules which prevents them cutting anything on a foreign blank - they are obliged to use their blanks, there is the transponder cloning. Interesting they appear rather lax about requiring proof of ownership of vehicle, V5 Fiat Security code. For cost see national web site.
I just fitted a remote locking system to my daughter/s central locking by key 2001 Punto Mk 2. The new remotes came with flick out blade blanks. I had to go to a local one-man-band keycutter. He was reluctant to copy the original ignition key - but interestingly technically he knew he could do it, it was just that he normally guarantees his keys will work - but in this instance he could not make that case, So, amazingly he was willing to cut the keys so long as I did not expect a guarantee - for free! Long story short both new key work fine. I must go back to him and let him know and force him to accept a fee. I run a Volvo the same thing applies but you will be lucky indeed to get Timpson's or anyone else to cut keys or clone transponders for less than big bucks and they will need all keys present to match them to the car - I believe the same is true with Fiat.

I actually went and asked local Fiat dealer when i had my previous Punto as i only had 1 key(Mk2 not the 2B i have now)....bloke looked it up on their system and then gave me a nasty shock...over £200 quid for a key !, needless to say i didnt bother at that price LOL ....there are some mobile locksmiths who can cut and code a key for a lot less so i've been told
