honestly these are great engines. dare i say but i actually prefer how they drive a car over the Fire.
yeah, one of the upgrades you could do i guess is put the hydraulic tappets in it from a later cinq if it does not have those already. it will help stop ware on the contacting surfaces of the push rods and valves and make the engine a lot more quiet.
other than that, yeah can never really over service the engines. i changed the oil in mine every year or 6k miles. (i really liked the car wanted to look after it)
oh one thing to note on these is the gear box.. make sure the inner CV boots are in good condition as they hold the gear box oil in! just make sure they are not leaking or have no splits.
Nice. it may have it already.. what is the engines cc? 899cc? if its that it will be identical to the cinquecento engine so all parts will fit from that if ever needed![]()

Sounds about right. The 1000 was 45hp, and the 1100 54hp.
39hp perfectly adequate to push the Panda along.
I had a 750 Panda, all of 34hp. Popped along quite nicely.

I’ve had 1000 fire twin Sunnie, 1000 fire Sisley and 750L. The 750L is my favourite all round
