Can anyone give me a bit more information about the Panda "Colour" range?

Floyd is a M Reg Rosso Bouganville (spelling?) and I've not seen many that colour around. Is there any way of finding out how many are still registered on the road or are there hundreds of em'?

Would also be interested in any other information about the Panda Colours as people are often asking me about Floyd and I don't know a tonne about him........

Thanks (y)

Have a look at this. If you haven't already.

Pretty sure it was the last special edition in the UK, but unlike other manufacturers instead of putting tons of kit on it and selling 'em cheap they took kit away, made the remaining stuff colourful, put a twin sunroof on and sold it reasonably cheap.

Ive seen a fair number about, seems one of the more numerous editions about, probably because they are so new. As far as I know, the Colour was the last UK special edition Panda and was available in Red, Blue and your Purple colours. All had I think the same interior and thats all I know.

i have a red panda 'colour'
pretty sure they are all as modern as uk pandas get
spec from what i understand....

999cc
5 speed
twin cloth sunroof
modern coil pack instead of dizzy
single point injection
crazy colored seats and panels
green seatbelts
crazy colored dash buttons and inner dash panels/gauges
big multi colored letters on boot and quarter panel
centre console

VERY VERY efficient
i was SHOCKED at how little fuel mine used when it was standard.
the coil pack SPI 999cc fire is REALLY good MPG !!! very impressive!!

The colour was always my favorite edition of the Panda (except for the 4x4). I liked all the colours and especially the funky interior, plus all those extras. Nice little car.

You have chosen really well, Charlotte. (y)

I've been keeping an eye on one locally in that pinky purple colour for some time. I'm determined to get it when the fella sells it.

I've actually seen a genuine 'n' reg colour (according to the bloke who had it, anyway) who said it was a very late purchase from a main dealer and was registered long after it was displayed in the showroom. Not sure about the truth of this matter but it seemed a genuine uk Colour. Can't explain how it would have an 'n' plate otherwise.

As I've said elsewhere, my ex partner and still very good friend, wrote off our m plated red Colour and I stripped the interior before it went. Have made two swivel office chairs from the front seats and have the rear seats in the loft with plans to turn them into a sofa one day.

Will post pic. of the office chair sometime for comedy value!

I think the Colour was the ultimate Panda. Loved the twin sunnys, the funky interior and the coloured dash. The 1 litre spi FIRE lump was the pinnacle of reliable engineering I think. Electronic ignition and single point injection are all you really need.

Floyds colour is great ....just wish he hadnt disliked me so much  It looks so bright and cheerfull when the weather s***.
But i do really like the 'colours' and would love to see a green one .Fuzzy's panda is also one of my favorites .Hes so lovely i just want to EAT him :D
