Message pops up, nothing wrong with it and have taken it into the dealer to check and they can't find anything wrong with it either.

I have done 23,000 miles in my GPS MJET and the Hill Holder Unavailable has only ever come up when I get in the car after my mother has driven it?!?!

I have done 21,000 myself and her 2,000 so this can't be a coincidence surely?!?! Come up roughly about 50 times since Ive had the car..

I have had the same problem and I assure you it is your mother's fault. The hill holder engages when 1st gear is engaged the cluch and the brake are pressed ande the car is on a hill. Presumablu when those conditions are met when the car is moving the system thinks to itself "What the **** is that morron doing!!!" and instead of engaging the brakes and introducing you to a tree turns the warning light on and puts a message on the display encouraging the driver to look in the manual. The bottom line is don't worry and don't let other people drive your car.

As an ADI this happens to 2 pupils only (5000 miles covered). Could be clumsy feet. Not likely to be clutch, brake, 1st gear on hill combination - otherwise every stop on hill would trigger message! Not coasting problem either.

She bounces about pulling the handbrake on & off & also using the footbrake to hold the car. It's one or the other. She confuses the computer;).
