Hi firstly I would like to say hi to all. I have ducato 35 multijet lwb, year 2014, 2287cc, heavy oil RHD English. I am at present in Spain and need a starter motor. Are the starter motors for this vehicle the same for LHD as are for RHD? Or are they different? Any advice greatly appreciated. Also, are their any of other vehicles that fit?

Hello,
2014 was the year when FIAT changed the Ducato generation. From x250 to x290. The VIN of both starts with ZFA250 though
There were 3 different starter motors available on the 2,3 l diesel engine, depending on the presence / absence of the Start&Stop system (option named 5DE) and the robotized gearbox (407).
Does you van have any of these?
The exclamation mark before the option code means 'no'.
Checking further on with those part numbers I can see they were installed only on the x250 and x290.
For the first two lines: in the x250 since 2006 until 2014, then after 2014 in the x290.
For the last line: in the x250 since 2011 until 2014, then after 2014 in the x290.
The forum ePER does not contain data newer than 2014, so it's difficult to see until which year exactly the starter motors were used (2018? 2020? 2024?)
The wheelbase and chassis type seem not to have any influence on the starter motor type used.
