Hello everyone,
My 2003 hgt abarth (65500km on the clock) varriator started to broke down. When I start the car it makes diesel noises for like 3-5 sec and after that you can still hear queitly the diesel noise and on top of that the accelerating is great until 3,8-4,1k rpm but after that the accelerating isn't that fast so I guess it's time to repair the varriator or if it's not possible than replacing it.
My questions:
1. The broken varriator could remove my puntos valve stem seals?
2. How can I take it apart to replace the spring and the seal inside the varriator? Do you have any images/guides? (I looked through this forum that's how I could find out that the varriator might be broken) (The only thing I know is I have remove the varriator from the inlet-cam)
One last thing: I'm from Hungary and I bought this car in Switzerland because it has 0,0% rust and the exterior and interior is in 110% shape. The only problem was that the cam-belt snapped and 8 valves had to be replaced. (That's the reason why was it cheap
) (The varriator was already doing the noises when I first started it (after replacing the valves) and I think the timing is 99,999 - 100 % perfect)
