Just to say hi as i have now joined the forum!

2000 X Reg Barchetta in Silver.

I am in complete awe of this car, i have nothing bad to say about it as of yet, its so refreshing to see a roadster that strays from the soulless plain styling of Japanese cars. I corners beautifully for a front wheel drive and the revvy engine is just superb! Gearbox is obviously a fiat gearbox which i don't always get on with, but overall im delighted.

I'm now off to post more threads!

Hello and welcome

So what made you get a Barchetta ? Did it take you long to find a good Barchetta or was it a last min thing?

Well, i looked at other roadsters like the MG-TF, MR2, MX-5 etc and they were all good, but mechanically good, not the kind of all round good i was looking for. When i finally got the chance to drive the Barchetta my perception changed on lefthand drive cars. They styling was beautiful, it cornered extremely well even at speeds in excess of 90+ and the exhaust note....coulda tuned a guitar to it! The engine is typically italian with its twin cam, don't get me wrong it can be brutal at times, it's the kind of car you find yourself making excuses to drive.

I bought it just down the road from where i live, after looking at another Barchetta i decided the owner wanted too much for it so, i went down the road and found this little gem.

Hi again,

Yes, i will be upgrading certain parts for example the stereo (i have to have music!) Then i reckon something along the lines of a DTR twin outlet stainless exhaust and possible a strut brace im not too sure about induction as of yet. Pics will be here as soon as it stops raining and i can make it all nice and shiney again.
