Technical help please

i carnt seem to get my cd player to turn off when i have turned the car off i have to hold the volume button in.does anyone know how to get the cd player to turn off when i turn my car off?please help

Hi you'll have to go into fiat to get a replacement stereo, my bravo head unit was fine for about a year then wouldn't switch off. Even when you pressed the power off button the lights would all go off and looked off but still got sound. I just got the dealer to change it under the warranty. I had to turn the volume down before i turned car off so as not to drain battery then dealer disconnected the stereo until new unit arrived. Don't worry its covered under warranty but go in and tell them rather than over the phone and make sure they disconnect the stereo, but leave in dash, so as not to drain the battery. if you unit does turn off properly when you press the button then i suspect the Unit is not Faulty.
There was a post on here about how to change the settings so that it will turn off when you turn the key, but it involves the advanced menu.
