Ideally a diagnosis using MES or similar tool to locate the fault.
I had similar issue some years ago and it was a faulty passenger occupancy sensor, but it can be many things so you need a good diagnosis.
Not impossible , but some have had issues with the switch that turns off passenger airbag if carrying babies. Although your age if vehicle may be to new for that switch , I don't know but others can advise.
