Hi,
I think my Blue&me module has drained my battery. After researching the flashing mileage/ loss of Bluetooth etc... and now a dead battery, I think that's the likely culprit.

I need a garage in Northampton to remove the module from my car, but most places have no idea what I'm on about.

Is anyone in Northampton? Can you please advise where I can take it?
Main dealer is a 3 week wait yo even be seen and £180 diagnostic charge.

My MOT is on Saturday and I'm pretty stuck if I'm honest.

Thanks.

I think it’s just a case of pulling the plug on it rather than removing it to stop the battery drain so you might not need a garage, not being a 500 owner though I don’t know the location unfortunately. @steveras57 knows his 500’s as do many more. Hopefully as I’ve tagged him you’ll get a reply soon. Good luck 👍

I think I remember reading once that the unit was behind a panel near one of the rear seatbelt bolts but not sure if that was on a 500 or a different car. If you search the threads you can probably find a related post about it

Does that help?

Thank you.

Yes, it is behind the panel in rear passenger side, I have watched Love500's removal video on YouTube. It looks like a nightmare to get off even if I had the tools... which I don't.

I need a local garage to get the panel off and remove the unit so I can send off for repair or replacement. This involves removing base seat in the back, undoing screws, sockets things, and rivets Etc...

It's a quick job for someone with the tools, but no one wants to help me.

I need to know if anyone who lives in or near Northampton knows of a garage willing to do this? I'm absolutely not having a go myself, I don't have the patience, and I would need to purchase additional tools.

Thanks.

Sorry our messages crossed! 🤣 Yes see what you’re saying

When you take it in clearly state what YOU want to happen agree a price and ask for a call if it's going to be more, you don't have to accept "we'll only replace the unit"
He basically said they're too busy doing bigger jobs, it's not worth their time just to remove a panel, they have other jobs that they can do instead. Which I understand. So if I want the work doing at all, it'll be a full diagnostic, not just my assumption based on info from Love500 guy's YouTube channel. However, he is the only garage who would even consider even looking at it, so it's either this or nothing. Unfair? Yes. But I literally have no other option. No one else will help at all, and he was happy to walk away from the work.

I had to cry down the phone to even get him to look at the car.
He did however agree to get a non-fiat part if that's what it is. But he wouldn't guarantee a unit from ebay. Just the removal work.
