Panda 2012+ Hello to everyone-RATS in the engine room

Hello people,i am new here-the forum helped me already so i became a member.

I had rats in the engine and one rat found dead in the engine air filter..i checked what may have been broken and i found the part FIAT 51897813 needs to be replaced after eaten by the rat-just ordered it.Next week i am going to check it further in the 70717 AIR FILTERS AND LIDS part at my service man maybe an electrologist will be needed..but seems no damage at the electric wires i was quick to find them.I also putted an metallic sieve at the air inlet for safety.


I am worried if the rats managed to go in the cabin air system etc

The problem was in the old garage so i leave the car at the yard where the cats are.I dont want to use chemicals repellent so i used the oldway cheese trap and i got 5 of the family but i think someone is still alive and evolved..I may change the cheese and use some greek feta after the parmigiano got the 5

cripes, the thought that this thing could have evolved into something else under your bonnet and still be “ALIVE” - never mind the car just run for it…

Chocolate spread can be smelled at some distance, use it outside and you'll likely draw hundreds of mice and rats, some random critters and even bears

It’s unlikely that rats would get in there. The only way in is through the vent under the windscreen which has a fairly fine mesh.

Do though check the flexible rubber sections of the brake pipes…
