Just joined and wanted to post some pictures of my Fiat 127 Sport 1300. Started in march this year after it been gifted to me by my dad (who bought it back in 1986 as his first car). This is also my first car, so working on it is a learning curve. Thought everyone might like it as its apparently a pretty rare car.

Yes he still is. He pretty much helps when I get stuck with stuff and guides me and a friend I'm always with what we could start on and what needs doing as I'm a complete novice with working on cars. So far we got the windshield and the dashboard in this week and dealt with some rust I've found.

Thank you! Probably gonna be a restomod. Not like fully modernizing it, but probably gonna get it to working order and then go from there.
Getting the original parts is abit of a issue as my dad crashed it back in '89 into a streetlight (used to be his car when he was 20) so the bonnet is from the series 2 127 as he couldn't get a series 3 bonnet from the scrapyard. He then modified the front to look like a 1050 sport so it also has alot of welding work done at the front to make everything fit. Also it had a propper respray, so i'm gonna have to ruin the paint to turn it back to original and I also have to find all the parts for it. Furthermore its missing the original seats as he wanted race seats and a rollcage, so trying to make it a original is gonna be alot of work.
Also I turned 20 end of last year and this is my very first car so I would love to go my own way with this car and as my dad said which I found brilliant: ''Barely any are left so its hard to compare it to a original one. Just make it your own thing!''

So far I'l keep the 1050 front and the paint job, I've got a new roofliner with modern materials, will get a some new speakers and audio equipment as I love music. Also we did manage to get a 1050 sport passenger seat and a recaro race seat and I'm going to keep the rollcage and will probably make a bumper from scratch and fit some rally lights on it. So far nothing is final, but would like it going in this direction.
