Okay, so my TV only has one HDMI port in it, I have two devices that are HD ready and I'd preferably like them to both be plugged into the HDMI at the same time.

I was wondering if there's some kind of adaptor I could buy that slots into the HDMI port and has two slots on it, rather like a wall plug adaptor...

(you know it plugs into the wall and has 3 or 4 spaces for sockets on it)

If anyone knows of its existence please tell me! :)

at a guess i would guess it would have to be a switch
when 2 analog signals meet it dont work (can do it with sky)
i would imagine that when 2 digital signals meet they woulld cancel parts out and such

http://www.google.co.uk/products/ca..._catalog_result&ct=result&resnum=1#ps-sellers

would not belive this si what it would look like but

especialy how it says sound prossessing but imagine its square thats what i imagine hdmi would come out like
then merge 2 square waves

i dont imagine it would be how scarts work

Well, alls I need it for is not to use it at the same time, but basically, I'm upgrading my computer to make it HDMI, and already have a games console which is HDMI, so would not use at the same time, but would it work so that I could use the computer when I felt like it and the console when I felt like it?! :D

Would just save a lot of messing round with having to swap the cables round and things methinks.

Cheers Stu, is cheaper as well. :p Is it as big as it looks in the picture - I need it to fit into a confined, tight space :)

Philips do a splitter unit (think it has 4 on it) from Comet and such stores, £29.99 rings a bell but I'm not 100% certain! I had a look at it for my TV, and it looked like it worked similiarly to a scart splitter, where as long as the unit you are using are on standby or off then the unit you want to use will work (as soon as 2 unit or more are turned it it mixes up the signals).

I'm sure Maplin do something similiar as well, possibly a bit cheaper too!
Hope that's of some help! :)

Ta, I'll look there too! :D And thanks for explaining it works similarly to a scart splitter. It's only to use my computer and my games console on HDMI. :p
Providing they're only small devices that fit on the shelf with the television, that should be adequate enough. :)

Stu can I ask, how come you are using 2 HDMI ports for the Xbox 360? You confused me there. I'm technically minded too! I'm guessing you have a HDMI reciever. oh wait, Am I right in saying your HDMI ports goes through the reciever and from the reciever to the TV, but then that still would only use 1 HDMI port on the actual TV. hmmm
Unless you have 2 Xbox 360's lol
