HAWK alarms

Anyone got one/had one/know anything about them?

Im after a 'budget' alarm.. Even if its not great, its a deterrent... But obvs it must work..

I was looking at this, as is also upgrades to RCL..

Everyone ignores car alarms, so put the siren under the dash such as hidden behind the heater.

The noise will be so loud in the cabin no-one will be able to steal anything never mind drive the car.

You could put a repeater siren under the bonnet.

but what happens if the alarm sets its self of while he is driving he will deafen himself

Just install it properly.

If its unreliable, he'll either not use it or he'll ignore it and someone will have the car away.

My old Easy Steal Montego had a cheap alarm for 7 years with no problems. The b'stard who tried to steal it got one heck of a surprise when he jemmied the door lock.

if its unreliable it'll end up on ebay after I buy a proper one LOL!

iv got one of these on my bike and got one for my car. but not fitted yet as the car in the garage geting fix...not bad for the money and you get remote start.......

get one it worth it....

tony123....them alarms look o.k i mite take mine bk and get one of them ones as the shop wot sells the hawk alarms are only 5mins away from were i live and i no the guy well as well wouldnt be a problem.....

I fitted one in the wifes Ka and it was good as gold. Connected it to the Central Locking and to the electronic boot release switch so everything was remote controlled.

i have a hawk alarm and would stay steer clear- but it is only because my remote controls have both broken, they both have little rubber buttons which just fall inside the remote all the time, im sure another design of remote would be fine but mine is crap, it is a carbon fibre style with rubber buttons

you can buy a Mini cheap
but wont be as good as a Rolls Royce
but both have 4 wheels and go

but one will offer more extras and be more reliable long term

hi i have bought a HAWK car alarm mine is a HA 230 PRO and i would like some advice on fitting this to my 2001 bravo (bit of a novice)

how do i connect it to my central locking as there are 15 central locking diagrams in installers manual and i don't know which one is correct central locking as it is multipoint negative central locking?

also dose the bravo have engine start check as i don't know if it needs connected?

and finally i don't want remote engine start so i guess u don't connect this however do i still need to connect the alarm to the engine immobilizer relay which is on the engine start connector?
