Hi,

ive had this car for a while and have a few problems with it.

The first one is that one speakers out of the four works only. Nothing out of the other 3. Havvnt got the fuse manual and been told there are 2 boxes, near the engine, and in the boot. Anyone have any advice as to what i could do,only thing iv done is checked doorside connectors and wiring seems ok. Iv Took the speakers out and checked them and appear working.

Secondly, while driving off in 1st gear, there a rediculously huge shudder from somewhere at the back, gently easing of the accelerator and it disappears you feel a small bump almost like the clutch has engaged sort of thing, then moves off and not to be heard of again till next the the car starts, not always does it occur.

Im thinking its a clutch problem as the clutch is slipping, but goes into all gears and drives ok, clutch pulls in out ok with no sound or grinding. Reverse brings that shudder back nearly always.

Could this be a flywheel ? no smell of smoke whatsoever, no noises or anything upon changing the gears apart from the small amount of slipping.

Thanks.

Hi,

Hi Who?

Audio system has only one fuse, so in your case it is more likely a wiring issue, or the speakers are blown...

The clutch is at the front of the car (passenger foot well for RHD cars), so if you hear a noise from the back it is probably not coming from the clutch, I would consider the rear brakes/suspension...

Im thinking its a clutch problem as the clutch is slipping, but goes into all gears and drives ok, clutch pulls in out ok with no sound or grinding. Reverse brings that shudder back nearly always.

Once the "rear stuff" has been brought into "working position", the noise ends, reverse would just put it back in rest position...

I really doubt it comes from the flywheel, I'd inspect the rear brakes...

Thanks.
