I tried searching these forums for this but found nothing. Sorry if I missed a topic.

Anyway. I have a 2008 Bravo 1.9 Multijet diesel and I noticed while driving today at night that my glovebox light won't turn off. The stick that's supposed to turn it off works fine when I push it though. My guess is that the glovebox lid doesn't touch the stick correctly or pushes it in the wrong direction or something. I can tell it's not bent or anything though.

I read up a bit about the subject (what little there was of it) and looks like in some Bravos the stick is installed incorrectly, and apparently mine is one of them. Any ideas how to fix it?

It's not installed incorrectly. The stick bends to the left instead of being pushed by the glove box lid.

Sticking some rubber or double sided tape on the edge of the lid so that the stick doesn't slide can fix it.

Thanks for the thread. I fixed mine with furniture ribber pad.

Seems even if it fell off and the light became on, after 8 minutes it will go off
