Good evening
After a story that is far too long to recant involving a French chateau, the border police and Romanian ( ahem) couriers. I ve finally arrived in uk with a broken down van.
A Ducato 120 multiple 2010.
Fault code says fuel pressure regulator.
I would like to know as I'm getting conflicting information;
Is this the unit on the rhs end of the fuel rail with a big hex?
Or a unit on the back of the high pressure diesel pump held in by 2 6mm screws.
Thank you in advance.
Tom.

That will be the pressure sensor.
Or a unit on the back of the high pressure diesel pump held in by 2 6mm screws.
So that will be the regulator if no other electrically controlled device on pump.
Thank you in advance.
Tom.

Hello again and thank you for the response, I thought I would get a message to tell me someone had responded. So apologies.
I have replaced the solenoid. With albeit a cheap one. The original Bosch one looks good, but one of the 2 orings was missing.
I will test it as best I can.
Problem persists.
In fact the problem is now more stark. Vehicle over fuels with black smoke and cuts out. But I have to say the engine and performance was excellent when running right!
The fault comes up immediately now but only after extended driving before.
Is it worth changing the sensor on the rhs side of the rail? At least it's relatively accessible.

I would be checking all electrical connections are secure and clean with continuity with those fault codes.

I am no expert but that looks more electrical than a component fault.
