General fuel cut off switch

hello, i wonder if anyone can help. i have been searching long and hard for a fuel cut off switch in my 1.4 tipo. (l reg)
i think this is the cause of my break down any way as i went over a pot hole really heavily and the car cut off. put more petrol in and checked the sparks etc, all ok but not starting, so i unplugged the petrol cables and noticed none was being pumped. i even poured a drop into the carboretta
and the car started. so i reckon its the fuel cut off switch that needs re setting but i cant find it for the life of me! any one got any suggestions?

i dont beleive they have one, have you checked that the fuse and wires for the fuel pump are ok?

If your lady have one it should be under the driver's seat.

under the passenger seat rings a bell..... but then i'm sure i had one in the nearside wing on my 1.4?
