Hello
I am about to replace the front shock absorbers and springs
What grease is used for the top strut bearing ?
Also any advice on ensuring the correct orientation of the top rubber mounting
I have seen the 'LRB guide' but it doesn't mention the above

Many thanks

Mine got what was in the garage which happened to be Lithium, no idea if that was right but it did stop the bearings rolling away!

From memory I just put the bottom end of the spring against the stop on the shock absorber and then the other end seemed to take care of itself as to where it located.

Good luck with it, I've got loads of pictures of when I did mine if they're of any help

thanks for the reply
yes any pictures would be welcome

One of the bits that I was wary of was losing the bearings as I dismantled the shock. I nearly lost them but was OK. I did take pictures of the order of assembly for refererence.
All the pieces (except for the 42 ball bearings)

First the large seal:

Then the inner metal ring:

Now some greasy bearings:

followed by the second metal piece and then seal:

Then the spring mount goes on top:

While the mount does clip over the lip there's no guarantee it'll stay on so I was careful to always hold it as a unit.

Shout if there are any others you need
