then look at bolt in wall whats ic alled and what posisition should it be in?

Its hard to tell isn't it, but i wonder if the nut hasn't moved (why would it on its own - its not like a wheel nut thats subject to lots of vibrations etc), but the other end of the bolt is no longer holding what it was, and it was pushed back through a bit and left there? Is that even possible, where does it go?

i was fixing a floor bored

the nuts tight on the end its the end of the floor to the walls i guess that goes into breeze block but i cant see house expanding by that much

what time should i be doing DIY?

i was basically replacing that wooden block with that nice bit of angle
 
The wooden block's a noggin. What was wrong with it - squeaking? I do normally screw them on myself though (not nails as shown), after pulling up on it with screws from the two neighbouring boards. A bit of glue behind doesn't hurt either.
