Hi guys can anyone tell me how to fit a after market rev counter on a palio as all the instructions say connect it to the coil, but my palio does not have the traditional coil it has a DIN igntion system (controled by the ECU) - is there a wiring diagram out there for a 1.2mpi so that i can find what i am looking for.

if you can send it to me that would be great

that looks like an 8v fire unit to me there. you don't have a coil, but you do have two coilpacks stuck on the righthand side of the engine. feed that runs to one of them might do, but ur going to get half readings.

It might be ok, as a lot of modern cars use a 'wasted spark' system. This means that the coil fires the spark plug even when it's not on the firing stroke. It means all the coils fire together, whether the cylinders are on the firing stroke or not.

But I'm not sure with the Palio arrangement. Only way to find out is to try!

check if the tacho you are fitting has an induction wire (probly the one your trying to connect) if it has then all you have to do is tape it to number one ht lead as most rev/tacho counters are induction units like a strobe scope for ingnition timing what ever you do do not hack your coil pack wire's as you can blow the ecu and the ignitor which will cost you big money to fix.
