Not posted for a while so hi everyone. My Sisley has been sitting waiting for me to do something about it for quite some time now. Anyway, tax is just about to expire so thought I had better do something. The engine has never been quite right since it overheated just before boarding the ferry in Dover a couple of years ago or so. Just after I got its last MOT six months ago, though, it started running very well but the next thing was the oil light came on and stayed on. Nevertheless, the engine sounded fine. So, I left the car for six months until a few days ago. Tried engine again - same problem. However, when I tried to start the engine the day, after it wouldn't have any of it. No amount of turning over would start it. However, I did notice a big build-up of pressure in the radiator bubble tank. Also, it seemed to be building up in volume and the water was looking a very dirty brown. I released some pressure and tried again. Same again. So, does this mean I have a blown gasket (or worse)? I am wondering if the engine is worth repairing (especially if the cylinder head has become warped). So, does anyone have a 4x4 engine (presuming it's different from the standard Fire 999 engine) that they would like to sell?
