Hi all can somebody advise please I have a Fiat 500L 2014 on a 63 plate a couple of days ago engine management light came on garage scanned with computer and stated oil pump so my mechanic had started to evaluate if it was the oil pump so we had replaced both oil sensors and also we dropped the oil and replace it and filters firstly there was no power at all after replacing oil sensors both of them it has gone out limp mode and still have engine management lights on stage in oil pump but it gets up to maximum speed and all fine no more link mold and anybody advise

You may need Fiat specific software to reset the faults and then see whnat happens. MES is the one most recommended on here, (fromGendan.co.uk and well worth the money on my experience) On occasion Fiat dealer software may still be needed. I wouldnt trust a generic diagnosis 100%. Oil pump failure seems unlikely unless you drive everywhere at 100mph. Some oil sensors fail to make contact with a metal seating ring and cease working. Check any sensors involved have proper electrical connections, to earth especially.

So a little bit of an update our bad mind mechanic at my local Mazda garage have a look at this issue it is a bit confusing so engine management light came on so we have dropped the sump on the car to look at the oil pump oil pump working fine and also had a look at the solenoid working fine so we changed the oil pressure sensor found out there was a second oil precious sensor changed that to a new one and I am still getting engine management but I have full power back no limp mode but I have checked the software with my mechanic all up today and still cannot reset engine management light can someone please advise or if there is a Fiat mechanic on here can you advise please or do I need to get original piles from Fiat for my 500L 2014
