Hi New to the forum

Recently purchased a 2011 Fiat Ducato builders van and the radio doesnt appear to be working so checked the fuse and found that the F39 fuse was blown so replaced the fuse and it immediately blew again. Looking at the fuse manual it states that the F39 fuse is used for the EOBD socket, Sound System, A/C control, Alarm, Chronotachograph, Webasto timer (+battery)

Any ideas what could be causing this? Any help advise would be really welcome

Thanks

Well I have ruled out the Radio/Sound System as with this disconnected the fuse still blows. Next will be to disconnect the A/C to see if this is the fault

If anyone has any advise please let me know I have a gut feeling that it’s the alarm

You gotta check them all. Nobody can tell you from the forum what's blowing your fuse, it would be just guessing.
Look around for an obvious wire that's in shortcut. Or try listening to the electrical shortcut sound whilst placing a new fuse, maybe you can identify where is it.

Cheers Mike the original question was aimed more at if anyone had experienced similar issues and whether this was a common fault. But as you say it’s a process of elimination

Save on fuses, as long as it's a fairly hard short, use a multimeter in low resistance/diode mode on the fuse output and the chassis , put up with the beeping whilst you unplug stuff.
Once the beeping stops you've found your problem.
