Hello I need some assistance please , I have a 2019 model , recently the battery became flat and after charging the head unit stopped performing properly, it would come on when the van is locked and when the drivers door opened but then it wouldn’t come on with the push button on and off , the only way to switch it off was to switch the ignition on and off .

So I took the vehicle out for a drive and when I got back and switched the ignition off then I tried switching it back on and it’s completely dead , so no display etc , the only thing that works is the central locking .
I have a good battery and I checked the fuses at the battery and all ok .
I did some checks on the can bus and got the correct reading in ohms .
I have replaced the BCM with a second hand one and that is the same .. I reluctant to get this cloned if it’s not this then I’ve wasted £150 .

The fault codes I had prior to the vehicle not working was
U0019 fault on comfort body can ( can b 1 )
B10 aa configuration not suited to the vehicle

I Dont think it has lost the key configuration as I was told that I would still get a display with the ignition on

Thanks for reading and I will post the outcome when it’s resolved

S/H BCM not a good idea as it will confuse the immobiliser and ECU as not matching key chip etc.
So will just add to your problems.

Just a quick update , I fixed the starting issue it was the multi connection on the positive battery , as I pushed on it it brought the ignition on and off , happy days .
Just the head unit issue now , that doesn’t work by the push button , in going to try and locate a wiring diagram as see if it has a switch live

Thanks for your reply Mike , the power did come on with the S/H BCM and it showed it as locked on the dash .
I’ve put mine back in now and vehicle is running . Just the stereo issue now to resolve

That's what I thought would happen as the S/H BCM wouldn't talk to the existing stuff.
Glad you got it running again:)
Re the head issue, do you mean a non original radio unit as in older Fiats I have had compatibility issues re powering down etc.
