HI. I noticed today that my ECU box is making a buzzing wired noise, when only the electric is turned on (the car).

Yesterday my Steering red light turned on, while the car was on idle for like 5 minutes and the steering felt very heavy to use. Maybe there is a connection between the ECU and steering?

Is the ECU box damaged or what is wrong here?

Hi sir. Is the ECU not the one I have recorded?

The buzzing sound comes from this area.

Can you specify what you mean with charging issue?

I forgot to mention:

buzzing ( like a mosquito)from around there is "normal" on the 1242 16Valve engines,:)

its adjacent to the fuel rail / injectors, not 100% sure what makes the noise.. but it's NOT normally a FAULT;)

the PAS going heavy is because the Motors that power the steering have not received sufficient electrical power,
that's why the warning light came on,
( often the 1st sign of a failing Battery)

check the battery voltage 12 Volts +,
then start engine.. battery voltage should then be 14 + volts, as the alternator adds charge..,

Allrighty thank you very much!

I will tomorow check on the battery and return with the results on that.

How do we know if the fuel rail / injectors actually have any errors that is causing it to sound like that?

I had the car on a diagnoice-software and the engine showed around 800 rpm on idle which is normal?

But sometimes on idle when i hold for red light, i do feel a little quick "punch" or "jerk" from the engine?

Hi again. I have checked the battery, and its fine and have the correct values.

How do i know if its the electrical motor steering (the cylinder under the steering) that has a damage?

That buzzing is fine :)

You have a motorised throttle control valve, that is the valve constantly moving little bits - so it buzz's
If you started to notice power surging (stabbing throttle), lagging throttle, rough idle etc, then i'd start to get suspicious but leave it alone

If anything - clean the butterfly valve thats inside with a little bit of carb cleaner, or even wd40 on a wrag :)

SOLVED:

- The Buzzing noise is from the electricel fuel valves and seems normal.
- The electrical steering is now working fine. My problem was that I always drove with "City" on, and that overloaded the steering engine and caused it to suddenly turn of.
Now after 3 weeks it have not occurred one single time
