Hi

We have a 2011 Roller Team - Auto Roller 656 6 berth motorhome.

Last year I replaced a dead starter battery with a new one and unfortunately the airbag ECU module threw up an error. I did some digging and got some very help from Crashdata in Liverpool.

It turns out the module (part no - 1367537080) is unrepairable and is no longer available new. So I got a new part (01371008080) from a main dealer but they didn't have time to fit it as I needed it done asap as the annual test was coming up. However two garages I brought it to and who have replaced a lot of these on Duacto vans couldn't communicate with it to do the proxi alignment.

I told the Fiat dealer my tale of wow and they agreed to fit it in the day before the test and lo and behold they couldn't communicate with it either.

In the meantime one of I have purchased an ELM 327 lead and will buy the a copy of the multiscan software and will give it a try myself.

I will try the new one first so just wondering if anyone has any advice re similar issues to what I describe above and also some good links to step by step vids on youtube?

Many thanks

Random suggestion but maybe the old ECU isn’t faulty and it’s a wiring issue?
That's food for thought as the one of the garages did a proxi alignment on the original module after they couldn't communicate with the new one and that cleared the red and yellow airbag warning lights and the flashing odometer but after a couple of days those came back. How would I go about checking the wiring?
