Hi all. Its about my Fiat Tipo 1.6 diesel 2018. The problem started last winter when the driver side front door couldn't be opened from outside. Someone at a garage suggested heating the door panel under the handle and that worked for a while. Now for the last two weeks, the door couldn't be opened from outer handle at all. It opens perfectly from inside. I removed the trim and found no broken connection between the handle and the locking mechanism. A video file is attached.
It seems to be some electrical fault with the locking mechanism.
One difference I found is that of a switch that is present in all other doors but missing in the driver's side door. The first picture is of the one rear door showing the switch present and the second picture is the affected driver's side door with switch absent. In other doors if I flick that switch, the door then doesn't open from outside BUT it resets after locking and unlocking the car. But that is not happening with the driver side front door. Video files are from snake camera looking at inner mechanism. Appreciate all the help. Thanks.

I had something similar on a 2012 Citroen C3 Picasso plus the electrical side self locked the entire car even with keys in ignition , luckily I had drivers window down.
The fix was a s/h door lock, apparently a common fault on that model, I suppose after 223K miles it was entitled to feel it's age.;)

Appreciate it. Will give it a go.
