Cazz, if you have access to an airline (compressor etc.), after a coating with high gloss wax (Autoglym does it for me) just blow the dust off.

Worst case, rinse it off with a strong water jet, powerwash or hose.

I work for Hyster, the Forklift people, and regularly get powder paint film over the car - just sitting in the car park.

Regular cleaning, that's the only way. What's that old saying about a labour of love !! :)

i use Mer and always park in the garage. haven't cleaned it since Febuary due to a hosepipe ban!!

Don't rub it in. I'm pissed off with not being able to pressure wash my car.

To answer your question, waxing won't really help reduce dust settling out the air onto your car. We suffer pretty badly being near Gatwick with the crap coming out the planes.

lol sorry didnt mean to rub it in, but when my car gets dusty i can was it with ease.... no sorry i'll stop (y) :D my dad bought me some was off the telly, the bloke set fire to it and the car was fine, ill give that ago and let you know what it is if its any good :)
