Technical dodgy starter

please help i have a problem wih starting my car when i turn the key the starter just clicks and drains all power i think it might be a bad earth or a knackered solanoid. any ideas all help welcome

Get your battery and alternator checked if you can start it, if not the starter motor could just be dead.
